This mural was inspired by our ancestors and is connected to
our future generations. The image you see is a daily activity of what happens in
the village of Susticacan. My memories as a child have not changed much in 40
years. Today the people continue to follow the traditons of the past and
teach the young children to contiune living the Mexican traditions. The mural
was made possible by the help of the wonderful people in the village of
Susticacan and the artists Irene Diaz (Neno), Lola Hernandez, and Lidio Pinedo.
The children who assisted in this project are Gabriela Rivera Miranda, Gaby De
Santiago Rodrigues, Jaime Reveles Rodrigues, Josue Vazquez Carillo, Jose Alberto
Vazques Carillo, Dina Vazquez Carillo and Raudel Miranda de la Rosa. Thank you
for making another of my dreams possible,
Neno.
The mural is 27 feet long by 7 feet high and located in Susticacan, Mexico
